DEFINITIONS.

 Let's say I have a friend, let's call him B. He has an ex, let's call her R. B and R have been through heaven and hell in the course of their relationship in the past and it would be both a miracle and suicide if these two would be together again. However, sometime this year, something came up. No one knows what that thing is but this thing changed things between the two. That for months, these two have been seen together almost always. And sometimes in strange, awkward positions involving their lips and sometimes, their tongues (awkward for those who have seen them).

Now B and R's friends have been bugging the two as to what is really going on between them. Now this is where I come in. Given this HYPOTHETICAL situation, I found out a way to explain or give definitions to the current situation of the HYPOTHETICAL, B and R. And who else can help us? It's none other than the legendary Barney Stinson.

So here goes, let's define B and R's situation:

re·la·tion·ship [ree-ley-shuh n-ship] – A particular type of connection existing between people related to or having dealings with each other.

hook·ing up [hoo-k-ing up] - When two people do it, consistently, but aren’t hanging out during daylight hours – unless it’s for the express purpose of getting it on.

hang·ing out [hang – ing – owt] – The process of participating in an organized activity together – such as a movie or dinner - followed shortly thereafter by furious banging.

see·ing where things are go·ing [see-ing wair things ahr going] – The process in which two people hang out, hook up, and do everything they can not to think about what it means.

da·ting – [day-ting] 1) The first time seeing where things are going fails. 2) Hanging out without the guarantee of sex.

marr·iage – [marr-edge] see: suicide.

play·ing the field – [play-ing the feeeeld] – Banging as many people as possible.

just friends – [just frends] – Two people who probably could’ve banged that one night but didn’t and it’s been a little weird ever since. They’ve thought about it, though.

Barn·man and Rob·in [barn-man and rob-in] (B and R) – A delightful and humorous play on words meant to equate B and R with popular comic book superheroes Batman and Robin, but instead of fighting crime they like to have sex in public places… but they do sometimes wear costumes, so… yeah.

 Now, on what category do B and R belong to? Hah! Can it be all of it?
